Due to the sanctions imposed on Russia, the availability of birch plywood has become extremely limited. In particular, long-grain B grade birch plywood or any decorative grade birch is challenging to source. However, we have an excellent alternative to offer: our Fine-Stripe veneered birch plywood. By using AB grade strip veneers instead of one-piece faces, we are able to maximize the production of high grade veneer.
The core is manufactured as per standard European birch plywood, adhering to industry standard tolerances. They are factory veneered with AB grade European Birch on both sides during the manufacturing process.
To ensure a smooth surface that is ready for finishing, the faces are sanded to 180 grit. The joins are tight and smooth, making these panels suitable for cut to size, CNC work, machining, and drilling. The veneer strips are approximately 95mm to 130mm wide, with varying widths on a single face. The veneers are quarter cut and book matched, alternating at 180 degrees for an aesthetically pleasing result.
Both faces of our plywood are free of plugs and knots, and are of a high visual grade. They are manufactured in Europe, guaranteeing their quality.
